The Maritime Museum is housed in two Cottages that date back to the 1890s, and these were originally the homes of the Pilot and the Boatmen who assisted the Pilot. It is situated at the top end of William Street, opposite Town Beach, with easy parking roadside.
There are ten rooms of displays depicting our maritime past from the arrival of the first convicts to Port Macquarie in 1821. From sailing ships to steamers, shipwrecks and ships in bottles, we have photographs, memorabilia, artefacts and more to see at the Pilot Cottages Museum. Admission is Adults $5, Children $2, and a Family ticket costs $12. The Museum is open seven days per week from 10 am till 4 pm.Go back to the homepage
